Accessory Guide

It’s in the Bag

Stylish maternity wardrobe? Check. Hip baby clothes? Check. A nursery to die for? Check. But, are you totally set for the baby?

Wait! You need a diaper bag.

Yes, a diaper bag, the one item that you really, really cannot leave home without. Now, you may be a little less then excited about the prospect of hauling around a cutesy bag emblazoned with dancing bears or worse some boring, black cumbersome tote, but there’s no need to worry. Your favorite designers have you covered with diaper bags to suit any style or taste. If you want your diaper bag to add to the mountainous labels in your purse closet, Gucci is the way to go. The Messenger Diaper Bag comes with all the standard diaper bag features, side pockets, velcro flaps, a fold out padded changing mat and pockets.

As a parent, you need many pockets. You also need a nice, comfortable, wide, web strap to keep the bag firmly on your shoulder. The Gucci bags come with signature GG fabric and leather trim.
If a Messenger bag is not your style try the zip top tote all the same great features, but with a slightly different flair. Fun, funky, edgy women will want to check out Betsey Johnson. She brings her unmistakable flair for combining bright colors and patterns to her line of diaper bags. Pyramid shaped studs, logo stamped plate accents and wild animal prints, oh my! This Messenger style bag comes with stroller clips, insulated bottle pouch (which is an extremely clever idea), burp cloth, and changing pad. You will never view your diaper bag as boring again! If girly themes fit your fancy, check out Betsey's pink diaper bag with a delightful bow pattern. Of course, it also comes packed with all the great features of her other diaper bags.

In love with the novacheck? Burberry has a line for the chic, stylish woman who wants a clean, discreet look for her diaper bag. The Burberry Diaper Tote is so elegant; no one will know it is a diaper bag. Available in the exploded check pattern it has black patent leather trim with silver tone hardware and a snazzy front buckle. Top opening, it contains a removable changing pad.

Adding accessories to a look is the easiest way to liven up an outfit and add an unexpected flair. Accessories can show off your personality and make a statement without words. Your children are lively and cute, so why not dress them up as such? Being a child is about having fun. Accessories can add both fun and fashion to any outfit.

Belt it up
Belts are a fun way to dress up an outfit. Choose different colors and textures depending on the event. If it’s a dressy occasion, opt for a natural color such as black, brown, navy or beige. If your child is off to school, let them be creative and silly by selecting belts in bold colors such as fuchsia and purple! For little girls, belts that sit on the waist are big this season. Select a skinny belt to compliment the outfit, not overpower it. Also, remember to select belts that are easy to fasten and unfasten for children who are just beginning to dress themselves.

Try on some socks
When it comes to socks, kids love colors and patterns! Roxy makes fun socks, with bold detailed patterns and warm stretchy fabric for babies and big kids. For t-ball or soccer, Juicy Couture and Nike design cute socks in many patterns with a comfy fit for the little athletes.

Wrap it up!
It’s cold outside. Kids need the extra warmth. Why not do it in style with a trendy scarf? Scarves are an excellent way to add some pizzazz to your child’s wardrobe. Choose scarves with detailing such as tassels and sequins! Select bright colors and patterns such as stripes, stars and polka dots.

Wear a hair piece
Little girls love hair accessories. Headbands are the best way to keep hair off the face and provide classic style. Marc Jacobs designs cute, yet simple, headbands in a variety of colors. The skinny headband is the big trend this season. Try your headband with a bow!

Bangle bangle
Bold bracelets are an excellent way to make a statement. Dress up the wrist with statement colors and different shapes! Children can wear many bracelets at once to create a fun style or just one, if they wish to look elegantly chic.
